Not far outside of Tucson is Suguaro National Park. I actually think there are two locations and one is NOT this close to Tucson. But this was a short ride from the RV park, and must be around 5/1/24.

En route to Quartzsite, AZ. Today is 5/5/24.

RV park in Quartzsite had an entertainment room with FREE pool while laundry was running. Fun!

More around Quartzsite. Self-explanatory. I think we leave Quartzsite tomorrow, 5/12/24, and I'm out on a long ride out of town to the southwest to "Dome Rock Mountain". Really interesting site. There. And there it is! It's much more impressive in person. I thought I got a picture of it closer in. It really is cool looking. Panorama of the area around the ride. And another. And another. Entry to California, 5/12/24. I remember these check stations from years ago. ALL vehicles must go through. We were casually flagged to proceed immediately. We drove by MASSIVE array of solar panels. Many times. I looked up online and found that "At the end of 2023, California had a total of 46,874 MW of solar capacity installed, enough to power 13.9 million homes in the state. California ranked as the highest solar power generating state in the nation, with solar power providing for 28% of the state's electricity generation." And wind turbines! We would learn that these stands are pretty common in California. This one was at a rest stop along I-10. Freshly-cut fruit of many types. Look at the SIZE of that cup of delicious-ness! Another, later rest stop. Beautiful mountains alongside the Interstate. We have arrived and set down at Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort. This is nearby Frank B. Bonelli Regional Park. It is huge, and gorgeous. Spans a connecting road for a bit over a mile and looks like this the whole way. Another view of Frank B. Bonelli Regional Park. Just outsdie of the entrance to our RV park. Stopped to enjoy the surrounding views before buzzing down for dinner. This must be about 5/21/24 and we have set down in Merced, CA. I'm out on a ride to Yosemite Lake. Despite the name, not too close to the National Park. Well, about 100 miles to the closest entrance, that on the west side of the park. A view of Yosemite Lake. The dog park at the Merced RV Park. Huge and capable! This must be 5/27/24 and we are on our way to Red Bluff, CA. I took this picture at Gloria's suggestion to show these bushes that separate northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 99, en route to Interstate 5 and further northbound. They go on for MILES! Just outside of Red Bluff is the Sacramento River. Beautiful views are easy to find. This must be around 5/29/24 and I'm on a ride out north of town, toward the Sacramento Mountains. Well, at least the beautiful hills on the way! Another view out in the hills outside of Red Bluff, to the north. I'm glad I got at least one good pucture of these. What a great way to psuedo-disguise the cell towers! They are NOT everywhere, but not uncommon at all, either. On my way back from the hills. My view of the pool at Red Bluff KOA RV Park. It's June 3, 2024 and we are on I-5 en route to Medford, OR. This was just a pretty view from the passenger side of our travel, still in northern California.
