Here we are from 10/31/23 - 11/20/23 -- Our travels from Virginia Beach, Virginia through Charleston, South Carolina.

One last shot near Virginia Beach. I tried to get out to see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Too many trees and buildings!

We're on our way to Charlotte, North Carolina. Stopped at several rest stops, as usual. This one was particularly beautiful!

Downtown Charlotte. It's 11/4/23 and we're on our way to see the Mint Museum.

More in Downtown Charlotte.

A view from our RV site at Sweetwater Lake Campground near Saint Matthew and Congaree National Park.

Thought this was a VERY clever way to use MULTIPLE license places to show local team support!

On my way to Congaree National Park I passed HUGE acreage of ready-to-harvest cotton.

Thought at least one closeup was appropriate.

Arrival.

Inside Congaree National Park.

Again.

Just thought this was funny.

We WILL see gas prices lower than this, but this was the lowest so far.

Longest lines I've EVER seen at Costco. I'm back at the deli section and am at the end of the line for checkout!

Now at the Charleston Market. See my dialog for more info here. This goes on for 8-10 blocks, all covered!

Toward the south side of town now, at Folly Beach. The shore drive goes on for about 2 miles, and there are parking lots for beach acess about every 1/4 mile or less.

Another view of the Folly Beach shore drive from my parking spot.

Back to downtown Charleston. Horse-and-buggy rides are available everywhere!

On Tuesday, 11/14/23 we took a bus tour of the "Festive Holiday of Lights" that surrounds the RV park we stayed at, James Island County RV Park" Phenominal. I only took a few pictures, but see the videos page for a huge bunch of short videos.

One more. Ooh, recognize this vendor!

Now at the Port Charlotte "White Point Garden". This is really near downtown.

Just so I could remember the name...

Still near downtown and the White Point Garden, this is in Waterfront Park, and what they call the Pineapple Fountain. Well-known in the area apparently.

Still in Waterfront Park.

Again, primarily so I could remember the name of the area.

This must be Saturday morning, 11/18/23, our second-to-last day near Charleston, SC. Another view near our RV space at James Island County Park.

In addition to nightly the bus ride through the Festival of Lights, there is a train ride that goes out and through the trees and apparently even MORE lighted displays. We meant to take this, but our final evening was pretty threatening weather, so we passed.

A final view near our RV space at James Island County Park.
